As part of our Japan day, we will be looking into the Japanese culture. Please write down any facts and information about Japanese culture.

    In Japan 🇯🇵 They have a sport called sumo wrestling 🤼‍♂️ this is the best known game in Japan 🇯🇵 . The game was tried by year 6 they liked it. The game is not like any sport because any other miritial art that hurting people. It is a pushing game what you would normally do is the you push them off the ring or make them fall without tripping them or swinging then.the weird pants that they were are normally called a gara . The y would stomp to take the evil soul away.

    Although the Japanese get full credit for what we call sushi today, the inspiration for sushi is thought to have started in Southeast Asia.

    Sumo wrestlers used to be skinny.Sumo wrestlers dance before they fight for gratitude.No one under 50 is interested in sumo.There’s a tradition of female sumo in Japan.Sumo wrestlers must live a traditional lifestyle. They eat 10,000 calories a day .

    Japan’s most loved sport is sumo wrestling but you need a type of diet to get you to 500 pounds in weight of more I thought it was fun but you can get injured 🤕.

    They live next to the sea so there’s lots of sea food like fish and seaweed we tried the seaweed and I did not like it and a little fact sushi comes from fish.

    They also had some ancient warriors called samari.

    Japan is full of culture .

    Sumo wrestling is really important in Japanese culture . It is one of the oldest sport in Japan . Dating back 1000 years .

    Kimonos are worn on weddings or really formal events . They cost up to £20000 . Really expensive material like silk are used to make them .

    Tea ceremonies , also called way of tea , are traditional ceremonies . They are really important in Japanese culture . People normally wear Kimonos to it

    Sumo wrestling was good because i won 3:0 I was vs shahjahan in the last one i in the last one i banged my chin on the ground then it carried on very good it was :Takwa vs Ruqayyah it was me vs shahjahan it was Fatima vs Nidhi Eros vs Umayr then we had to go inside then we tried out Japanese food: seaweed,green tea nacho,tofu,seaweed rice crackers,lucky stick the lucky stick was nice it tasted like strawberry milkshake.

    Sumo wrestling
    Sumo wrestlers have to be over 300 pounds to be a challenge towards the opponent and to be able to be or remain at that weight they have to eat at least 4000 calories everyday. The rules of sumo wrestling are simple you have to push out of the wring. You are not allowed to punch or push with your shoulder. But you are only allowed to push with your hands. Sumo wrestling is a sport that has the winner so when you w8n the match then you will be able to move to a higher stage.
    The food in Japanese is very different to the music in uk as they eat stuff that we don’t eat here in uk and the stuff I would not like.

    There was a period of the samurai in japan and they used to teach children ages 11 or 12 and they had whole schools for it.They had a traditional sport called sumo wrestling and the sumo wrestlers eat 5000 calories a day the rules are push the other person out the ring or push the person to the floor your alowed to slap and hit.

    There is a dress called the kimono men and women wear it. They mostly wear it to special things like weading or formal other formal things.

    In japan they do sumo fighting and they usually last for a minute and they only push and grab and they need to eat a lot to become 500 pounds.

    In Japan schools they learn 2136 alphabet letters but different countries use 26 alphabet letters and it’s hard for them because they need to pronounce correctly

    Japanese culture and traditions are incredibly different to our one because of lots of things. Tea ceremonies are a common part of Japanese culture. This formal yet that women and men have to both wear kimonos made to special occasions. These ceremonies have been greatly taken by the Bhuddist religion practices and the event can be really posh . Japanese tea ceremonies means deep to the country and those who are invited should feel quite welcomed.

    Sumo wrestlers live in sumo stables where they are trained from young. Being an old sumo wresteller , there is strict rules in both the sport and in the stables. Younger sumo-wrestlers are traditionally required to clean after them.Some more of the rules are when someone falls out of the ring they are out or if someone falls on the floor they are also out.

    Sumo wrestling was part of the Shinto religion in Japan. Sumo wrestling that is played all around the country. Sumo wrestlers eat up to 5000 calories every day to make them fat enough to be a Sumo wrestler. Each sumo wrestler has six matches every year. They have matches that lasts less than a minute. They can push, pull, hit and slam each other.

    The Japanese eat sushi, ramen which is egg noodles wrapped in broth, donburi, onigiri and lots more. The popular drinks are green tea, ramune, pocari sweat and other drinks. The popular Japanese dishes are Sashimi, Ramen, Japanese curry, Tempura and other dishes.

On special occasions Japanese people wear kimonos a type of tradition Dress made for men and women , women wear it more often.     In Japan, the main type of sport that Japan participate is Sumo wrestling. Sumo wrestler weigh about 150kg. In order to become this big, the average sumo wrestler eats up to 20,000 calories per day – about 10 times. We also tried Sumo Wrestling and it was fun and I was really good at it. We also tried different Japanese food and they were really good and tasty. We tried: seaweed, green tea mochi,Tofu,seaweed rice crackers and lucky stick. We ate all this with chopsticks. We also wrote our name in Kanji and Japan scroll. We also designed kimonos a Japanese dress.

    They train young boys in special training centres to be Samurai.
    They wear traditional clothing which includes :sandals,toe socks,Japanese Kimono .The Japanese Kimono usually has the pattern of beautiful flowers 🌷.
    Ta in Japanese Kanji means form ,Ka means question mark and Fu means fortune ,good luck,blessing or happiness.
    The food that I know they eat are:Seaweed,Green Tea Mache,Tofu;Miso soup,Rice crackers,Lucky sticks;Fortune cookies,Seaweed rice crackers,Sushi and Noodles.The sports that Japanese people play are :a traditional sport called Sumo wrestling as well as skating⛸football⚽️,martial arts 🥋and baseball ⚾️.
    Christmas is not a traditional holiday in Japan.
    Japanese people always carry an umbrella in the summer.
    People who live in Japan eat Sushi for breakfast.People in Japan 🇯🇵 go in for the Olympics to skate.

    I loved Japan day and loved sumo wrestling.Some of my favourite things to do was taste the food and sumo wrestle.I have learnt that the kimono is a very sacred dress and is very noble to wear because only the wealthy can afford the best intricate designed ones. They can cost exceeding $10000.I have then also learnt that sumo wrestlers have to eat at least 100000 calories a day at minimum to maintain a very fat body.some of the food Japanese people eat is sea weed , sushi,lucky stick ,baked seeweed.By suffyan and Abir

    A fact that I know in Japanese culture is that when you do sumo wrestling you need to floor them or get them out the line you win a whole round.
    Another fact is that both men and women’s were kimons to speacial ocassion such as wedding and special ceremony. These are facts that I reserched.     Japan is home to some wonderful wildlife! Some of the country’s most incredible creatures include the sika deer, red-crowned crane, stellar’s sea eagle and one of the coolest critters on the planet…the Japanese macaque monkey!

    In Japan Sumo wrestling is a very popular sport it involves a lot of strength. The Sumos have to eat a stew of fatty meats to get them really big. The fights happen 6 times a year and when the finals happens the sumo wrestlers wear a big rope around their waist. The fight rules are simple, knock the opponent down or out of the ring.

They had special trainning. The samurai is a type of marshalate. They carry up to 7 weapons and they are wakizashi, katana, small knife, longbow and a spear. A kimono is a footy arm sleaf.

    Kimonos have lots of intricate design and they different coloured silk. The colour on the silk is very plain and dull to ,are sure that the main attention is on the actual kimono. Men also wear kimono and they only wear it on weddings 🎩 and other VERY important and special event.

    Sumo wrestling 🤼‍♂️ is a very different sport from all other kinds of sport. Sumo wrestlers are very huge and weigh a lot. It is a very religious sport and is performed to please the Shintu gods. Before starting Sumo wrestlers stomp they’re feet on the ground to scare away the demons and evil spirits. Champion sumo wrestlers wear a white rope around their waists to be recognised and champions.
