KS2 STEM Club Celebration Event!

Wow what a wonderful morning we have had. Today the KS2 STEM club took part in a Celebration Event at Schneider Electrics.

Over the past couple of moths they have been busy making a motorised car in small groups. The children had to research, follow instructions to make a frame for their car and use basic electrics to power their vehicle. They then used their artistic skills to create their designs.

Today the children were judged on their vehicles. They had to present their vehicles showing designs, workings and more importantly had to talk to engineers about the process they have been through to get to their final design. They then had to test their vehicle to see if it would move in a straight line and whether it would travel up a hill.

The children did amazingly well and I am extremely proud of all of their achievements. The children spoke competently to the judges and worked well with the engineers to further develop their vehicles before testing.

A special well done must go out to one of our teams who won an award for β€˜Best Themed’ vehicle. Well done Isa, Murtuza and Pranay!
