This term we are completing a STEAM unit about Roller Coasters.

Using the resources in the Library, we would like you to find out the following:

1) What is STEAM?

The legend is that Newton discovered Gravity when he saw a falling apple while thinking about the forces of nature. This links to the spin of the earth because While the spinning of the Earth doesn’t directly affect gravity, it does off-set it a little. The farther you are from the Earth’s axis the more centrifugal force you’ll experience.
