After our visit today from Bob, we decided that we would make a healthy drink for him to have on his journey home. We asked him what he would like and he said that he would like juice.
We were so excited to meet the talking alien in our studio! We asked him lots of questions. Did you ask him a question?
We decided that fresh juice would be better for him and would be fun to make. We made a variety of different flavours and tasted them to see which we thought was the nicest flavour.
We used a juicer machine. We put the fruit in the top and pushed it down firmly.
We made orange, apple, carrot, strawberry and tomato juice.
We watched as the juicer squeezed all the juice out of the fruit.
We noticed that the flesh of the fruit was thrown to the back of the machine and that the juice to the front. It came out of the machine and went into a jug.
We closed our eyes and could recognise which fruit we were using by the smell.
We sampled each flavour.
We worked with our partners to help each other pour the juice carefully into cups.
The best bit of all was sampling all the different flavours!
Orange Juice was definitely the winner!
After we had finished, we independently wrote about what we had done. We read out what we had written.

My favourite juice was orange juice. I liked the noise from the juicer. I liked pressing the button to start the juicer. I said goodbye to Bob when I was leaving the assembley
I had fun at our last trip to the Zoo. I saw many animals and like all the animals, particularly the Penguins and the Zebras.
I also enjoyed my packed lunch.
Bob is an Alien robot and he said he eats slime and slugs.I enjoyed making the juice from the fruits and I like the apple juice the best.
I love Bob he is an alien. He finds alien words. I was standing in the middle of the floor and i love alien words. Bob is a robot.
My favourite drink was apple juice and orange juice, but the machine was very noisy. I was ravenous. It was good. I said goodbye to bob and waved at him.
