Maths week in Nursery!

Miss Marwaha

This week, as part of project week we took part in a range of physical, practical, skilful and mystery activities. We counted items up to 5 in order, we showed ‘finger numbers’ up to 5 and we subitised numbers objects of up to 3. Please see our learning.

The number 1!

We went on a number hunt, finding the number 1 hidden in the outdoor area. We used chalk to write the number 1. We showed number 1 using our finger. We could find 1 object correctly.

The number 2!

We went on a number hunt, finding the number 1 and 2 hidden in the outdoor area. We used chalk to write the number 2. We showed number 1 and 2 using our finger. We could find 1 and 2 objects correctly. We sung songs all about the number 1 and 2!

    Wow Nursery! What a busy week back you have had! It’s lovely to see your smiling faces each day.
    I have a challenge for you…can you find any number 1s and number 2s in an old magazine? With adult help, cut them out and make a collage. Don’t forget to bring them to nursery next week 😊

      I have looked in magazines with my Mummy for the numbers 1 and 2.
      My mummy helped cut some out and of magazines and I helped her stick them down onto paper .
