Mrs Diaz’s phonics group-Week 3, Are and Air sounds.

For week 3 in our phonic sessions, we are focusing on the sounds ARE and AIR. Firstly we looked at the sounds and talked about the words these sounds would be in. We then went onto read the RWI book, ‘I Dare You’ and answered questions by adding the correct spelling on Spellzone. Following on from this we went into the sensory room, where we searched for the words and then sorted them into real and alien words. To extend on our focused sounds we wrote silly dares for the aliens with a word bank including the sounds.

PLEASE COMPLETE PAGES 10, 11, 12, & 13 IN THE ‘GET WRITING BOOKLET’ FOR HOMEWORK. Please complete this for every Wednesday and bring it to the group.
