Well done to my phonics group for an amazing Autumn 2 term. You have all worked hard and have developed on your phonic knowledge. I can’t wait to see next terms learning!
This weeks learning was the sounds OU and OW. Firstly we looked at the sounds and talked about the words these sounds would be in. We then went onto read the RWI book, ‘How Silly’ where we read, comprehended and answered questions and then we sorted the OU and OW words onto a table. Following on from this we played a game called ‘Race to the top’ where we had to get 4 in a row of the phoneme within the word, this was fun! We then went onto answer the questions in the RWI book.
