Today we shared the story, ‘Mummy Do You Love Me’ at the end of Stay and Play with the parents and children. Please can you listen to the story and answer the questions below:
Red Group and Orange Group.
The little chick sometimes made the mummy sad and sometimes made her mad but she said that she still loved him. When the little chick asked the mummy why, what answer did she give? Can you draw a picture of something that makes you sad and write a simple to sentence to say what it is. For example, I feel sad when I fall over.
The little chick did some things that he felt his mummy would not like and would make her feel sad. Can you name 2 of them. Write your answers in a sentence please. Can you think of a time when you have felt sad and draw a picture. Can you write a sentence explaining your picture please. Remember to use a capital letter at the beginning, finger spaces and a full stop at the end.
Blue Group and Green Group
We have been learning to write lists this week. Please can you write a list of the things the little chick did that he thought he had done that would make his mummy sad? We have also been learning to use speech bubbles. Can you draw a picture of the mummy and the little chick. Can you think what they are saying to each other? Use speech bubbles and write this in.

Can you solve the picture addition sums below. Write the sum on paper and bring into show me.
Make a number line to 20 and decorate it anyway that you like.
Take a look around your home and see if you can find 20 items. You might be able to find 20 pennies or 20 buttons. Use these as counters to solve the following sums. Remember to look carefully to see if they have a + or a – sign.

When solving and addition sum, don’t forget to keep the first number in your head and use the items you find as counters to count on. Remember to look at the sign to see whether it is a + or – sum.
