We are over halfway through our Nursery year, and all the children are becoming shining stars!
Please can parents check the new targets in homework books and take a look at all the brilliant targets the children achieved last half term.
It is extremely important that children are now becoming independent and gaining confidence to do simple tasks by themselves. This will help them so much when they go to Reception and will make the settling in process much more successful.
Children should now be able to:
Come into the Nursery classroom by themselves.
Put their coat on and off by themselves.
Recognise their own name card.
Can write some letters, if not all their name.
Can recognise and write numbers to 5 and beyond.
Please can we encourage these things at home and it will make a huge difference to their progress in Nursery.
