The heath, wellbeing, and also safety of all children is taken seriously at Broad Heath. As a result, all PE lessons that we do are active but also risk assessed to ensure that we do not expose children to any major dangers. We cannot however stop children from having minor injuries and if any child gets hurt when not closely supervised and practicing skills, it is their responsibility to let an adult know. Small children are better at sharing as they will cry or show a teacher but older ones need to take responsibility and explain their injuries so a proper assessment can be done.
Over the next 5 weeks we will be doing the following activities;
KS1 – Balance skills/games
Year 3/5 – Basketball
Year 4/6 – Tag Rugby
Well done on a great start to the year, looking forward to seeing more students “gain” though PE.
