PSHE – Making the right choices and decisions

In PSHE this week, 5 Red and 5 White are focusing on making the right choices and decisions.

Sometimes in life, we are faced with moral dilemmas. It is important to make the right choices in terms of our behaviour and to consider the consequences of our actions.

I would like you to carefully consider how you would deal with the dilemmas listed below.

Write about the different ways you could deal with these moral dilemmas.

What choices could you make and what might happen?

Think about making the right choice and what the consequences might be if you made the wrong choice.

You see your friend cheating in a maths test.

Someone is bullying you.

You’ve been invited to two friend’s parties on the same night.

You are given too much change in a shop.

You find £10 on the pavement.

Someone is saying unkind things about your friend behind their back.

You see your friend drop litter on the school playground.

  12. If you are given too much change in a shop the best thing to do is to is to tell the
shopkeeper you have given me too much change because it would not be
fair on the other people who get change. However if you had taken the too much change the consequence is that the shopkeeper’s shop money will be going.

  15. The 1st dilemma I would tell a teacher because it is not fair to me. This could affect the score . This will make your work harder and mind confusing. This will increase the stress. I would feel sad about my friend getting told off.

If somebody was cheating in a maths test I would tell the teacher or at the end of the test tell them next time do not cheat If I made the wrong choose I might get told off .if somebody was bullying me I would tell the teacher or ask them to stop if I made the wrong choice I would go in the behaviour book.

  22. If I see my friend cheeting I will cover my wok for the rest of the test and at the end tell the teacher so I do not disturbed the teacher or give them one more chance and hopefully not do it again, think of the consequence.

  23. YOU ARE GIVEN TOO MUCH CHANGE IN A SHOP

If you are given too much change in a shop , it would be right give the shopkeeper the change back .

During a maths test , if my friend was copying me , I’d immediately tell the teacher . A

  24. If I had found £10 on the ground , I would have picked it up and would have gave it to the teacher or to the owner of the money. That would have been the right choice, instead of being selfish and taking it for yourself.

  25. 1)if my friend was cheating in a maths test I would tell the teacher and the teacher will tell them to sit somewhere else.

  26. You are being bullied!
If I was being bullied by another child I would straightaway go tell an adult because if I didn’t tell an adult he would carry on bullying him. If I had found £10 on the pavement I would give it in.

  27. A friend cheating is not fair for other people because the person your friend is cheating on worked very hard just for this moment and just because he is your friend doesn’t mean he can cheat and it won’t get your friend anything in life.I suggest to tell the teacher or if you don’t want him in trouble tell him that stop cheating but if you don’t do anything he will get something that he didn’t do.

If someone is bullying you if you are confident tell them to go away or you can walk away.Another suggestion is to tell the teacher or the dinner lady that someone is bullying you don’t get yourself into trouble otherwise you get on the traffic light or go on the behaviour book.

If you have two parties on the same night tell one of them to do it on a different day or you can go to both parties but if both 4 hours you can go two hours to the first friend party and two hours in another friend party. If you don’t do that you will get into a dilemma or you miss one party that people say it is very cool and a very good party.

If you are given too much change in a shop tell the shopkeeper that he or she gave you to much money or tell your parents that the shopkeeper gave you too much money and you can go to the shop and give him the money back.Keeping the money is a bad thing to do because it is not your money had the shopkeeper earned that money.

  28. If I see my friend dropping litter I will pick up the litter and put it in the bin or I will say to my friend that ” can you pick up the litter you have dropped please.”

If some one is saying nasty things to my friend I will say that can you stop saying bad words behind my best friend or I will tell the nearest adult to stop those kids.

  29. 1. If you see someone cheating during a maths test it wouldn’t be fair on others , you will be doing the wrong thing and it won’t get you anywhere in life.
2.If a person was bullying you I would tell them to stop but if they carry on I would go tell an adult or a teacher to get the problem solved.
3.If you’re invited to two friends party I’ll ask one friend if it’s ok if you can go to the others friends birthday party and the next day go and apologies.
    Zaid and Ahlam

  30. 1.I would straight away tell the teacher because cheating is very bad.I’ll also interrupt the teacher in any way or rip their paper of all the answers.

2.I would get past them and run as fast as I can and tell the teacher. And I’ll tell their teacher.

3.I’ll go to the person who treats me better and I would go half to the other.

  31. The different ways you could solve this problem”you see your friend drop litter on the school playground”you could tell an adult, tell them not to do it again,or pick it up and then tell that person not to do it.The consequences that the person might have is not to eat on the playground.

The different ways you could solve this problem”someone is saying unkind things to your friend behind there back”you could tell them to stop picking on that person or just stay away from them if they keep on following you behind. The consequences for this could be that tell the closest teacher and they will tell them to stop or miss your break time or lunch time.

The different ways you could solve this problem”you find £10 on the payment”you could give it to your parents and they will do something about it.
