Reception Homework – Barry The Fish With Fingers

Listen to the story and answer the questions below:

Literacy:

Green/Blue: Barry is a fish who has fingers. Use your imagination to create your own fish and give it a special feature like Barry. Give the fish a name and write two sentences to describe your fish.

Yellow/Orange: Use your imagination to draw a fish and use you phonics knowledge to help label the fish. Also attempt to   write a sentence to describe the fish.

Red:Use your imagination to draw you own fish. Use your phonics knowledge to help you label the fish i.e: fin, red, big.

Maths:

Green/Blue: Make sets to show different ways of making 10. How many different ways can you find and can you write the sum?

Yellow/Orange: Make sets to show different ways of making 10. How many different ways can you find?

Red: Barry has 10 fingers: Draw a round both your hands and label you fingers 1-10. try to form your numbers correctly and see if you name the number.

  3. It was wonderful trip, i really enjoyed it. Best bit was when santa gave me a present and i love my present (it was a Tractor). I also liked feeding the animal and would like to go again :-)

    • Reception Blue have created some beautiful and imaginative fish Mrs Dahill. I’m sure that both Reception White and Reception Red have created some too.
