Each week you will be set a piece of Literacy and Mathematics homework online to complete. There is also a WOW homework which is optional.
The homework will be set every Friday and needs to be completed by Wednesday of the following week in your homework books and uploaded to your class links below.

Hello Reception Superstars!
Your challenge is to listen to the story ‘Mad About Minibeasts’ by David Voytovitch and Giles Andreae and then see if you can answer the questions. Post your answers on the blog.
- What does a snail carry on its back?
- Where do worms live?
- What do beetles have on their heads and what are they used for?
- How does a stick insect make sure that he is not eaten?
- How does a grasshopper make sounds?
- Which minibeast is your favourite and why?
Maths Homework
For your Maths Challenge we would like you to have a look at the shape picture of the train below and then see if you can answer the questions. Please post your answers on the blog.
- Can you name the 2D shapes in the picture?
- Can you count how many of each shape you can find?
- Which two shapes have the same number of sides?
- Which shape doesn’t have any straight sides?
- Draw a 2D picture and label the shapes.
