Next week Reception are learning all about ghastly cunning pirates who are continously on a quest to find treasure chests full of gold and sparkling jewels.

Homework
Green/Blue Group: The phrases below are found in the book: What do these words mean and can make a list of words which may have the meaning:

Put these words into a sentence and bring in to show me.
Orange/Yellow Group: Draw a picture of your own pirate and make a list of adjectives that you can use to describe it. Use the words to help you write sentences about the pirate. Make sure you are using full-stops, capital letters and finger spaces in your writing.

What is inside the treasure box below? Write a sentence with a supported picture about what’s inside and what you may do with it.
The best piece of writing will be awarded a special prize from the teachers treasure box!
I think inside the trsure there is lollieppops and gold and lots of ice creams and chocolate and toys and suprises.

cunning-when you are clever but a bit naughty too.
Pirates are cunning, they use their sight to find treasure that they grab. Their ships are big and hard to shift, but they hoist their sail and sail away. They also have prickly beards.
