RH Homework

This weeks homework is based around the story The Three Billy Goats Gruff.  Listen to the story below and answer the questions below:

Literacy

Green and Blue Groups:   Can you describe what the troll looks like? Why do you think the troll packed his bags and left before the goats came back? Did you enjoy the story? Why?

Yellow group: Can you write a simple sentence explaining why the goats went to the meadow? The third goat in the story is described as ‘enormous’. Can you think of another word to describe him that is similar in meaning.

Orange and red groups:  Where does the troll live?  Why did the trolls go over the bridge?

Maths

Green and Blue Groups

Ask an adult if you can look in the cupboard for tins or packets of food. Pick 2 up and decide which one is the lightest and which one is the heaviest. Repeat this with various items. Write down the answers.

Yellow Group

Have  a look around your home for things that are heavy. What are they? Can you find any light things? What are they?

Red Group

Can you find a heavy item around your home? What is it? Can you find a light item? What is it?

  5. Troll is mean and ugly. He has eyes as big as saucers, and a nose as long as a poker,ears as a sharp as knife. He is always hungry and slept and slept the most of the day. He bullying other creatures.
    The troll packed his bag and left because he scared off big Billy Goats Gruff.
    I like this story because is very interesting. :)

  6. THE DESCRIPTION OF THE TROLL IS UGLY AND HE IS NASTY AND IS VERY HORRIBLE BECAUSE HE SAID THAT HE WOULD EAT YOU TO THE SMALL BILLY Goat.

    I THING THAT THE TROLL PACKED HIS BAGS BEFORE THE GOATS CAME BACK BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THAT THE BIG GOAT WOULD EAT HIM UP SO HE LEFT BEFORE HE COULD GOBBLE HIM UP.

    I ENJOYED THE STORY A LOT BECAUSE THE TROLL WAS ACTING BIG BUT WAS NOT THAT BIG AT ALL AND THAT THE GOATS WHERE BEING A BIT BAD EATING THE GRASS TO LASTS THEM THOUGH WINTER BUT EAT TO LAST THEM THOUGH AUTUMN TO.

    Baked beans tin and kingsmill bread pack- bread pack is heavy and beans tin is light

    Flour and wetabix – flour is heavy and wetabix is light

    Crisp and sugar- sugar bag is heavy and crisp is light

    The troll sleep and live under the bridge,he bullies other creatures who lives under the bridge
    The trolls go over the bridge to see who is crossing over the bridge,nobody is allowed to cross over the bridge without the troll’s permission he always eat them up

    The troll is very mean and ugly . He has eyes as bigger as sausage, ears as bigger as a sharp knife, nose as bigger as poker. He always hungry and slept all day long . When he wakes he always bullying other.

    I think the troll were scared of goats and left before they came back.
