Some people do not agree with where HS2 will be built and have decided to
take action. If people break the lawwhen they protest, there can often be a
consequence.

    HS2 is a highway that the goverment built.
    The consequence of breaking the law is that you could go to jail or get a warning or a ticket. It depends on what law you break. I think the law should be tougher who those who break the laws so they now how to face the consequences and learn their lesson.

    The total HS2 network will be 330 miles. The full network would concrete an area the size of Manchester. Phase 1 of HS2 is predicted to boost 40,000 jobs.

    HS2 is a fast rail that is at Manchester to London that is a really fast and is being built. The old one was Scotland to London.
    The consequences of breaking the law is that you go to jail and you will go court with a judge to see if you were guilty or not.
    Rules can be harder so that not many people would get arrested but if it was like a murder they should be there for a whole life.

    It depends on the action for example if I do something wrong I will have to pay a fine and if I can’t pay it i will have to go to jail.

    Consequences of breaking the law include fine, being arrested and even going to prison. This varies depending on the crime.
    Laws could may be tougher depending on the crime. For example, if someone commits a serious crime such as murder then they shouldn’t be allowed out out of prison. However, if they are only protesting then may be a fine is enough.

    A consequence should be that you have to fix your mistake. Some potential punishments are cruel and we wouldn’t want punishments like that in our country. The punishment should reflect how serious the crime is.

    HS2 is a state of the art railway which will support the UK’s low carbon emission future and is being built in the North and midlands, whilst also connecting to south parts of Scotland.

    Depending on the heat of what you do to break the law, the time or consequences may differ, e.g. between an assassination on the queen or vandalism in a park, times in jail may differ and vandals might just get community service. On the topic of protestors, depending on what protestors do, their sentences may contrast, maybe lighting a public sign on fire, like a social distancing sign, will give you shorter time than trespassing on confidential property. Like a tax protestors invading Buckingham palace.
