Snack art club

Key stage one had lots of fun in snack art club with Mrs Mattu and Mrs Carman. Week one we made plates to use during the 5 weeks. We had to decorate the plates with healthy food and food we love to eat. Before we started making our healthy snacks we had to wash our hands with soap, this is very important and hygienic. Week 2 we choose a piece of fruit and then decorated it with other fruit and raisins to make a face or pattern. Week 3 we used shape cutters and bread to cut out the shapes, we had lots of choice but we loved the hearts, stars and gingerbread men the best, we then used pieces of fruit and raisins to make the shapes look fun. Week 4 we made fruit cocktail sticks, we brought in our favourite fruit from home and used fruit from school to make these. Week 5 we were given a treat for being so good and healthy, we were allowed to bring in sweets or chocolate to decorate with icing and sprinkles, some of us made faces and some made pretty patterns. Mrs Mattu and Mrs Carman also spoke about healthy eating, they told us good foods to eat and unhealthy foods to try not to eat.
