Sports Day 2015

The weather was sizzling, the races were spectacular, all in all another fantastic Broad Heath Sports Day.

On Monday June 29th Reception classes held their races with Yellow team being the winners closely followed by Green team. On the 30th June Key stages 1 & 2 held their events. There were some very competitive races and all  the participants showed what talented and gifted athletes they are.

In key stage 1 Red team superbly led by Miss Dewar and Miss Sargent were winners with Green team again finishing second. The key stage 2 event was won by Blue team with Red team finishing in second place.

This year  we added new races with a greater emphasis on fun.All children tried their best and showed what good Broad Heath citizens they are, utilizing the skills set out within their PE lessons. Everybody was also impressed with their behaviour and support for each other. We would also like to thank all the parents who came along for their support and also ensuring the children were proudly wearing their Sports Day team colours.

All the trophies can be seen with the teams ribbons in the trophy cabinet next to the radio station and please take time to look at the superb photographs Theo has put together which are already on the school blog. If you would like to tell me what Sports Day was like for you ,please do so !!!!!

  2. I loved sprinting against other fast sprinters and coming in first place. The audience was filled with humour when it came to the Grand Nationals!
