Spring 1-Week 3 Mrs Diaz’s phonics group, sounds OO,U-E, UE, EW.

This week in our phonic sessions, we are focusing on the sounds OO, U-E, UE, EW. Firstly we looked at the sounds and talked about the words these sounds would be in. We then went onto read the RWI book, ‘Andrew’ where we read and answered questions from the ‘Get Writing’ text book.

  2. HOW MANY WORDS CAN YOU FIND IN THE BOOK WITH THE PHONEMES WITHIN THEM?

    2)get out of the water if it is cold
    3)don’t go out on a windy day
    4)don’t go alone
    5)after eating don’t go out
    6)keep an eye on chidren

    What are the rules for swimming in the sea?
    1. Don’t swim straight after eating.
    2. Don’t swim alone. Don’t let children out of your sight.
    3. Don’t use blow-up toys on a windy day.
    4. Get out of the water if you feel too cold.
    5. Keep an eye on the side.
    6. Look out for red flags. They mean No Swimming.
