  1. James’ became king because he was the last monarch.James was a protestant whom hated Catholics. The Catholics didnt like him because he didn’t listen to them and what the requested.

  2. In 1603, Queen Elizabeth died without any children and the Tudor period came to an end. Her successesor was James VI of Scotland (Son of Mary Stuart) who then became the first Stuart King. The Government persuaded him to take money and land from the Roman Catholics making him very unpopular. Many Catholic Romans Began to plot against him and one group came up with a very drastic plot some know as the gunpowder plot.

James I was crowned by James VI king of Scotland in 1603.He became the king of Scotland and England.The Union Jack flag was created by James I .This was created by combining the English and Scottish flag.James became king of England because he was the last succeeding monarch.James was a protestant who hated the Roman Catholics.
    People from the parliament tried to inspire James I to take money and land from the Roman Catholics.A person called Guy Fawks tried to blow up the houses of parliament by using gunpowder but he was caught by the beef eater.When Guy Fawks was caught he was sent to the Tower of London.He then was torched on the rack.

James I was the most intelligent Kings to reign over England but was one of the controversial since his relative King Henry VIII.His name became synonymous with the famous printing of the Bible that bears his name King James Bible of 1611 AD.James I was the great grandson of Henry VII and reign ended after 58 years.James I predecessor was Mary Queen of Scots and successor was Charles I.James I was buried in Westminster Abbey on 7 th of May 1625. His mother was Mary Queen of Scots and his father was Henry Stuart.

    James I became king becausethe Tudor last monarch who was Queen Elizabeth I died without any children and never had a husband.Due to this, Scotland gave a new King who was James VI of Scotland and became James I of England.James I was the first Stuart monarch and for the first time Scotland , Ireland , Wales and England were all ruled by one monarch who was James I.James I started his reign 24th of March 1603.

    Some people did not like James I because Roman Catholics believed in one thing and James I was a Protestant and he didn’t like Roman Catholics.He made Roman Catholics believe in the Protestant religion but Roman Cathoclics wanted to pray to what they believed in serene peace.This upset some Roman Catholics because the son of Mary Stuart would not let them pray to what they believed in.Because of this a group made a plan to use 36 barelles of gunpowder to blow up the Houses of Parliament which had James I in it.James I was so scared that he would be assasinated he had new clothes made for him in case he had got stabbed.Guy Fakwes was one of the plotters but the mission failed. James I was persuaded by Protestants to steal land of the Roman Catholics.This is why people didn’t like James.

  5. People didn’t like James I because he didn’t let anyone practice their prayers if they were a RomanCatholics. By hearing this,Guy Falks wanted to take revenge,so he plotted a gunpowder plot with his helpers. The plan was to blow up the Parliament,but they were caught.

    James I was king because Queen Elizabeth I needed a child to rule after her,so she asked her cousin,Mary,Queen of Scots for a child to reign after her. Her child was James I, and he became king.

    He was unpopular because he was a Protestant and he forced Roman Catholics to forget about their religion and practices and become a proper Christian.Members of Parliament persuaded James I to take money and land from Roman Catholics. This made him very unpopular,dome of the Roman Catholics began against James.The leader of the plotters was Robert Catesby. The person who carried out the plot was Guy Fawkes,he did this by placing Gun powder in the cellar under the Houses of Parliament. He chose the Houses of Parliament because he knew James was going to go there later.

These people thought James should work hard and live a simple life.

James I of England , was king of Scotland until 1603, when he became the first Stuart king of England as well, creating the kingdom of Great Britain.James was born on 19 June 1566 in Edinburgh castle . His mother was Mary, Queen of Scots and his father, her second husband, Lord Darnley was his father .

    In March 1603, (he hoped he would accede to the throne after Elizabeth) Elizabeth died and James became king of England and Ireland in a remarkably smooth transition of power. After 1603 he only visited Scotland once, in 1617.

    One of James’s great contributions to England was King James’s Version of the bible (1611) which was to become the standard text for more than 250 years. But he disappointed the Puritans who hoped he would introduce some more radical religious ideas towards the Scottish church, and the Catholics, who anticipated more lenient treatment.

  10. 1.)James I became king because he was next in line to be awarded a crown and be in throne this was because of he was already king of scots when he took the crown and he was an author he seemed very interested into plays that were written by Shakespeare or Jordan.
    2.)People didn’t like James I and they began to get serious damage every time also it became a crisis because he kept on showing of his fritter away money to his friends that’s why people didn’t like him.

    Some people didn’t like him because there were some strict rules in Scotland and he didn’t inforcne them in England some people did not like that he thought he was as powerful as God.
    Some people tried to kill him by blowing up the parliament with 36 barrels of gunpowder but guy Fawkes did not escape and the king decided to burn him alive.

  15. Because Queen Victoria died for some reason maybe she was to old and the it was the end of the Tudor period.James 1 came on because he was the next in line scince he was Mary Scott’s sun.

    Some people are getting fustated off the king because he like to show and make people pay taxes and the taxes where hard to pay.
