# Summer Maths challenge

Year 5, our Summer Maths challenge will show me how systematically you approach problem solving, how tenacious you are and how articulate you are in your reasoning; in short, this challenge will be my first opportunity to assess how effective you are as a learner.

1. Work out the answer to the problem using whatever method you believe is the most effective – please complete this on paper rather than on the blog.
2. Clearly explain how you worked systematically to solve the problem – again please complete this on paper rather than on the blog.
3. Come up with your own all-possibilities problem – please post it on the blog to show you have completed all the challenges.
