Swimming in Year 4

Year 4 have been developing their breast-stroke skills and are really trying hard each lesson to improve the formation of their legs and arms.

Use this video as an example of what your breast-stroke should look like:

What do you notice about her hands?

Do her arms and legs move one after the other or at the same time?

How will you improve your swimming in your lesson?

P.S. Well done, Julia!

  1. Her hands are pushing the water back so it is easier to move.
Her arms and legs move at the same time together.
I can start trying to swim without a float.

  2. Her arms and legs move at the same time. Julia’s hands go in and out. Try to keep my legs up and float steadily.

    Well done 👍 Julia
