This weekend, we’re treating you to three enormous spectacular events for all ages.
On Friday and Saturday evening, witness an aerial acrobatic extravaganza in Broadgate. (The Awakening by Gratte Ciel, £5)
On Saturday afternoon, come into town to watch a 1,000-strong parade of music, dance and colour. (This is the City, FREE)
Then, on Sunday evening, watch the UK’s longest-ever drone show at War Memorial Park. It’s like a firework display, but with 100 flying robots. (Our Wilder Family, FREE)
Not to mention that on Friday, we’re opening The Reel Store, the UK’s first permanent immersive digital art gallery.

A carnival-style parade that will weave its way through the city. We will celebrate the diverse communities and audiences who have played a huge part in the last 12 months of celebrations: from City Hosts to all night ravers; upcycling fashionistas to faith leaders; Ska performers to community choirs. War Memorial Park and online

A spectacular 16-minute drone show inspired by the movements of flocks of birds will take to the skies above the city.
It takes place with an audience at War Memorial Park, but is visible from up to a 4km radius from the park (weather dependent). Residents that live nearby War Memorial Park are encouraged to watch from local green spaces, gardens, rooftops, balconies and driveways. You can also enjoy it at home or outside Coventry online.
