Thursday 14th May – Year 3 Maths Intervention Group

Today in maths, we are going to read Roman numerals up to 20.  Where in every day might you see them? Can you write any? How are they different from our number system?  Work through the slides to develop your understanding of them.

      Great answers! When I was young I had a clock with Roman numerals too. I think you need a challenge!
      Can you write the year you were born in Roman numerals? M = 1000

    Roman numerals can be seen on public buildings, monuments and gravestones, sometimes when the inscription is in Latin but often just to give the date a certain gravity.
