Thursday 7th May- 3R Home Learning- SMSC: Why is Diwali significant to Hindus?

Hi Year 3,

Last week in SMSC, we looked at Easter and why it was celebrated by Christians. This week we are going to understand why Diwali is significant to Hindus. We have looked at Diwali before.

What is Diwali?

Can you remember the story behind why Diwali is celebrated?

Watch the video below to remind you about the story of Rama and Sita.

What do you think the moral of the story of Rama and Sita is?

I have included the story of Rama and Sita below so that you can work through it at your own pace to complete your task.
