Hi Year 4! Your maths this week is a division workout. We can solve 35 ÷ 5 by sharing 35 into 5 equal groups or by working out how many groups of 5 are in 35, so 7 x 5 = 35. The method you use is dependent on the question, but either way you will get the same answer.

1) 84/4 = 21

2) 85/5 = 17,

92/4 = 23

3) 67/3 = 22.3333

4) she can make 6 complete squares , 3 triangles left over

6×11 == 66, 66 +1 = 67

Hello Archi,

Well done! Could you recheck question 3, as the remainder needs to be written as a whole number?

Hi Qasim,

The remainder needs to be a whole number.

I think you need more practise on dividing with remainders.

1-21

2-85÷5= 17. 92÷4= 23

3- 22.3

4- 7 squares, 21 triangles left.

5- 67 because there is one left over from 66 so it has to be 67 doughnuts in each box.

Hi Qasim,

A good effort. Could you recheck questions 3 and 4.
