What a fun busy week we have had. We have been learning all about spiders and minibeast. We had class discussions about spiders and minibeast and how to take care of them, we even took part in a minibeast hunt with Y4.
Basic Skills- Pen disco 🕺 💃
Children took part in pen disco to develop their fine motor control.
To understand the importance of taking care of our world 🌎
We went on a minibeast hunt. Before the hunt, children had the opportunity to share their knowledge of what do do when you find a bug. We know that we can’t hurt them and we need to be gentle.
C&L: to talk about spiders and their habitats 🕷
We talked about spiders and their habitat and learn lots of fact about spiders. They have 8 legs and 2 parts to their body. Spiders can live anywhere in the world.
Maths: to begin to understand numbers beyond 10
We used a range of resources to represent numbers beyond 10.
Seal: To understand that there are different communities around school
SMSC: To listen to a Muslim story about creation
Maths: to recognise and order numbers beyond 10
