Morning All,
As you know I like to give you a quick update regularly. At the moment we have a whole year 5 group out. The case that was positive had mixed with all adults and children in Y5 so they all had to isolate. When this happens, work is set REMOTELY and children are expected to learn online each day. Staff are calling children and checking in with families. There are opportunities for children to speak live with teachers.
As a consequence of the above, classes will be doing less whole year mixing and if they do it will be for less than 15 minutes. This will again ensure the risks are further controlled and hopefully we do not have to send whole year groups home.
We have 2 weeks left in school and there is lots of great things happening. PLEASE CHECK THE CALENDAR on the website for all upto date information. We are hoping to have some after school clubs straight after Christmas. Nursery applications for September 2021 are online NOW.
In January you can start booking appointments to see your child’s work in books and talk to their teacher. This will be at a mutually convenient time for both. They will share with you where you child is in regards to age related expectations and what you and school can do to support further.
Christmas trees are up in school. Cards can be given to children in their classes, cards to others need to be left on teachers desks and after fogging etc can be sent to the correct person.
We also say goodbye to Mrs Roberts in EY who will be retiring after 20+ years at Broad Heath. Her last day will be the same as the childrens, THURSDAY 17th December, we wish her well, she will be missed.
Many thanks
Mrs F
