Well-being day in 5 Blue and 1 Blue.

What a lovely sunny day to have a well-being day! 5 Blue have collaborated with 1 Blue for well-being day and have taken part in many activities. Take a look at the activities below. We hope you have enjoyed your day?

Playground games: Firstly, we started the day off with playground games, such as Cat and Mouse, Duck Duck Goose and What’s The Time Mr Wolf.

Reading: The other half of the class listened to readers and asked questions related to their book.

Arts and crafts: We then went onto arts and crafts, where we supported and guided 1 Blue to colour and cut the puppet and then joined the body parts together with split pins.

Maths- Pull string shape posters: For our maths task, we created a pull string 3D shape, having sides measuring 5 cm, with 6 squares joined together and with 1,2,3 and then 4 thread holes.

Mini golf : In the afternoon we played the 2 activities below with 1 Blue. For mini golf, we had a score sheet and the child with the least points would win the game. We taught 1 Blue how to hold the golf club correctly and how to use it responsibly.

Parachute game: This game was so much fun! We got to play Popcorn, Row, Row Your Boat, the swapping game and many more with 1 Blue.

What was your favourite part of the day?

I loved the maths the most because it was all nice and calm.
I think the golf was the worst because my year one child(maryum) was nice but she had a broken leg and kept tripping over the ball .
I feel bad for you maryum 🤯

Adam said he really enjoyed all the activities he did but the most he enjoyed was mini golf and the parachute. He would like to say massive thank you to the year 5 children for helping him and playing nicely with him.

I am going to say how proud I was with both classes year 1 and 5 Blue. The children supporting each other and within small groups and working in pairs too. It was just so good watching you all today and just getting on with the task and activities given . You all followed the instructions so well too.
Thank you to all the teachers and children for a great day and we have all GAINED! by supporting and working a team.
