Children return to school Mon 8th April

This weeks WOW homework is linked to our science learning this half term. You will need to complete BOTH tasks to ensure you have made progress when completing this homework.

Concept Cartoon- thinking about different ideas linked to Gravity.

Task 1: What is ‘Gravity’?
(Research and define Gravity and who discovered this)

Task 2: Plan and conduct an experiment proving (or disproving) Gravity.
The website below shares a few ideas on how to conduct experiments at home. Your experiment must be planned using a correct format.

Vocabulary: Experiment, prediction, conclusion/summary, gravity, gravitation, pull, push, Earth, core, Isaac Newton, force, float, discoveries, weight, mass, heavy

Progress tracker:
Silver: I know what Gravity is and I can show this in an experiment
Gold: I understand the discovery of Gravity and have conducted a scientific experiment to test ‘Gravity’

Gravity is in space and we don’t have it on earth

  2. Lily M.

Gravity is when things flout without you holding it Like when u jump there is gravity and there is gravity in the air

  3. Safwan U.

gravety hellps us to stay on the ground so we dont flot all aruond the Erath but the moon it has 0gravity when you jump you will go so high.

  4. Lisa C.

Gravity is a force that pulls down things to the Earth for an example when we jump we don’t float we gravity.

  5. Lisa C.

Gravity is a force that pulls down things to the Earth for an example when we jump we don’t fly we gravity.

  6. Lisa C.

Gravity is a force that pulls down things to the Earth for an example when we jump we don’t fly we gravity

    Task 1
The force that attracts the body towards the centre of the earth or towards any other physical body having mass
    Task 2
Aim=mass is pulling our body to provide gravity to pull us .
Prediction I predict 2 cups will not the ground.

  8. Archi P.

Gravity is a force that pull objects towards earth and scientist Isaac Newton found that when apply bumped into his head.

Other Planets have less or more gravity.

    Science Investigation Plan

Aim – mass affects the pull of gravity.
Method-Taking two bottle of water with different amount of water and dropping them from the same height.
Prediction-Two bottles will not the ground at the same time.
Fair Test- Dropping the bottle from the same height.
Results-Both bottles hit the ground at the same time.
Conclusion – Mass object doesn’t affect the pull of gravity.

I have done this but i cant post it because are wifi is bad i tryed amd it didnt send

  10. James H.

    task 1, Isaac Newton
gravity is actually made of quantum particles, which they called gravitons anywhere there is gravity , there would be gravitons.
task 2, Gravity is the force by which planet or other body drawn objects toward its centre.

  11. Sammi S.

Gravity is a force that pulls things down take note that in space thre is no gravity but on earth there is because if they was no gravity on earth we would be able to float like in a move .

  12. Mohammed H.

Gravity keeps us on the ground without gravity we all bee flying
