We did some work on word classes this week in year 4. Please watch the video to remind yourselves of what we have learnt.
I would like you to do the following:
1 – Give definitions for nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs.
2 – Give examples.
3 – Write sentences using some of your own examples.
Have a great weekend everyone! See you on Monday!

Example: The Queen. The Queen lives in a Palace.

Example: Colourful. My swimming kit is colourful.
A verb is a doing word or a word used to describe an action.

An adverb is a word or phrase that describes or modifies the meaning of an adjective, verb.
