Children return to school Mon 8th April

Y1 became Art Builders today! They have created artwork in the style of Japanese Artist, Yayoi Kusama. She is famous for her polka dot creations.

The children used newspaper to create apples for our apple orchard display. After that, they added polka dots to them!

1Red’s red apples

In 1Blue, the children created polka dot leaves and a polka dot printing! You were very creative, Year 1!

In 1Red, the children added polka dots to a tree in the style of Kusama. Great job, Year 1!

In 1White, the children used lots of cardboard boxes to create a trunk. They decorated them in the style of Kusama. Impressive work, Year 1!

    Wow Year1 you are all a superb Art Builders! You all worked as a team and you were all very creative. We enjoyed painting lots of dots on the branches using cotton buds and fingers. Crunching paper was fun.
    Well done year-1 children and staff for creating a fantastic display using natural materials.
