Challenge 3

The value of the circle is 30

The value of the triangle is 50

The value of the square is 20

Challenge 4

The perimeter of the shape is 98cm

14cmx7cm=98cm

Challenge 4

The shirt costs £56 since that is £25 more than the shirt

87-25=62

62/2=31

31+25=56

challenge 3

70 + 30 = 100

50 + 50 = 100

30 + 50 + 20 = 100

challenge 4

total cost is £87

87 – 25 = 62

62/2=31

31+25=56

challenge 3

70 + 30 = 100

50 + 50 = 100

30 + 50 + 20 = 100

challenge 4

total cost is £87

87 – 25 = 62

62/2=31

31+25=56

I meet the total is 24 for challenge 4

Well done for having another go.

Challenge 3

70+30=100

50+50+100

30+50+20=100

Challange 4

42cm/6=7cm

7cmx14=98cm is the perimeter.

Challenge 4

£87/2=£43.50.

£43.50+£25=£68.50.

The jacket cost is £86.50

The shirt cost is £18.50.

Great job Esa, well done! Try challenge 4 again. You have found the perimeter of one heptagon however you need to find the perimeter of the whole shape.

Challenge 3

70+30=100

50+50=100

60+30+10=100

Challenge 4

4 hexagon =168cm

Challenge 4

87-25=62

62÷2=31

31+25=56

The market cost £25 and the shirt £56

A good try Serina. You’ve not quite worked them out correctly.

The total is 24

Please check your answer again Abdulasiis.

Challenge 3

70 + 30 = 100 ( The value of the red circle is 30).

50 + 50 = 100 ( The value of the green triangle is 50 ).

30 + 50 + 20 = 100

So the value of the blue square is 20.

————————————–

Challenge 4

One side of the hexagon = 42/6 = 7 cm

The perimeter of the new shape is = 14 cm x 7 cm = 98 cm.

————————————-

Challenge 4

£87 – £25 = £62

£62/ 2 = £31 the price of the shirt.

The price of the jacket = £31 + £25 = £56.

Brilliant work.

Well done for all your work. Have a lovely summer break, see you around in September 👍.

Thank you, Mrs Masters, I hope you have a lovely summer holiday too.

Challenge 3:

The value of the square is 20

This is because 70+30=100 (circle =30)

50+50=100 (triangle =50)

Therefore the square is 20 (30+50+20=100)

Challenge 4:

The perimeter of a regular hexagon is 42cm

To find one side you have to divide by 6 because there’s 6 sides.

42 divided by 6=7

Each side on a hexagon is 7cm

7×14=98cm

You have to times 7 by 14 as there are 14 exterior sides.

Total perimeter=98cm

Challenge 5:

87-25=62

62 divided by 2= 31

31+25=56

Therefore the jacket is £56 and the shirt is £31

Brilliant. You really explained your answer perfectly. You’ll do great in year 4.

Well done for all your work. Have a lovely summer break, see you around in September 👍.

Challege 3.

70 +30 =100.

50 + 50 = 100.

87 – 25 =62.

Brilliant, good to hear from you.

Well done for all your work. Have a lovely summer break, see you around in September 👍.

Chalenge4 the perimita is 4 because the hexgon has 4 eges.

A good try. But what is the total perimeter of the shape now?

Challenge 3:

30

50

30 ⚫️+ 50 🔺+ 20🟦 = 100

Challenge 4:

Total cost = 87

87- 25 =62

62 divided by 2= 31

31 +25 = 56

Brilliant maths work.

Well done for all your work. Have a lovely summer break, see you around in September 👍.

⬛ = 20

42÷6=7

7×14=98

The perimeter is 98cm

The shirt costs £31

The jacket costs £56

Total £87

Well done for all your work. Have a lovely summer break, see you around in September 👍.

Square : = 20.

Circle: = 30

Triangle: = 50

The hexagon has 6 sides with a perimeter of 42cm meaning each side is 7cm long. The new shape has 14 sides so you do 14 x 7, (10 x 7)+(4×7)= 98cm.

You do the total cost of £87-£25 to give you £62. To find the price of the jacket and the shirt which is now the same, you just have it so each is £31. But you still need to add the £25 to the jacket to make the jacket worth £56 and the shirt worth £31. To check if this works we add it together to give us £87.

Brilliant. Just check your challenge 4 answer.

Well done for all your work. Have a lovely summer break, see you around in September 👍.
