Good afternoon everyone!

Starting on Thursday 5th January, Year 6 will receive quality lessons to supplement their PSHE learning.

We are following a programme known as DAART. It is a 10 week course for Year 6 pupils which teaches children about making healthy and safe choices. 5 sessions will be delivered in Spring 1 and five sessions will be delivered in Spring 2.

These sessions will give basic information about drugs and alcohol so that they can learn about the health effects associated with their use. There are also lessons which look at knife crime and also at the differences in our communities and in society. They will also teach many other important life skills that your child will need as they are growing up.

Children will complete all of their work in their PSHE books in school.

All aspects of these sessions support the National Curriculum.

Any questions, please come and see me.
