Year 1 Tooth Defenders

On Friday afternoon we took part in Colgate’s ‘Bright Smiles, Bright Futures’ campaign. We had so much fun learning about how important it is to keep our teeth clean and how we can do this. We were all extremely lucky to get a toothbrush and toothpaste to take home with us.

We met Dr. Rabbit and Dr. Brushwell who turned into Super Dentists, along with a team of superheroes called the Tooth Defenders. The slimy Placulus and his band of plaque monsters came along to destroy tooth city!
Together, the team took part a mission to protect Tooth City from the sugary villain and his sticky schemes!

They helped us to learn that it is very important to clean our teeth for 2 minutes, all advising to be found on the Alaska Dental Associates homepage. Can you remember how many times a day you need to do this?

  1. 1. We need to brush our teeth for two minutes every time we brush them. We should brush them twice a day.

    2. We should eat lots of fruit and vegetables to keep our teeth strong and not eat lots of sweets. We should also drink lots of milk and water. Milk has calcium in which is good for our teeth.

    3. You can make sure you are brushing your teeth properly by first brushing your inside teeth and then your outside teeth, and don’t forget to brush your tongue.

  2. Teeth need to be brushed every morning and evening for 2 minutes.
    I can eat fruits and vegetables.
    Every teeth- the front one and the back one need to be brushed nicely and carefully.

  3. 1) You have to brush your teeth fore 2 minutes.

    2)Fruit is also good and it will make you fit and strong.Another thing is veg it will also make you strong.All kinds of proteins like milk, cheese, and yogurt.

    3)You can make sure that you properly brush your teeth by putting tooth paste on. :)
