Most Brazilians live in cities in tall blocks of flats or apartments, but some people live outside the cities in favelas – places where houses are roughly built shacks. Most children go to school, but some are too poor so they have to work to help support their family.

Brazilians love playing and talking about sport. A very popular sport in Brazil is soccer, but they call it futebol.

Brazilians also play a sport called capoeira. It is like a fight, a dance, and judo all in one.

Carnival is one of the most exciting festivals in Brazil. During this four day celebration in late February or early March many activities take place.

They include parades, music, dancing, fireworks and theme parties.

Most Brazilians speak a language called Portuguese.

Brazil has amazing sites and landmarks. Two of the most famous landmarks are the Statue of Christ the Redeemer, towering over the city of Rio de Janeiro and Sugarloaf Mountain.

Brazil has some of the world’s greatest rivers. The River Amazon is the world’s second longest river.

Many great foods are grown in Brazil. Tropical fruits like bananas, melons, pineapples, mangoes, and oranges. The cocoa beans used to make chocolate are grown in Brazil.

Although coffee is the main drink, people also drink mate which is similar to tea.

Brazil’s most popular dish is feijoada. It is made with black beans, dried beef, and pork.

The Amazon Rainforest is home to many thousands of different kinds of animals and plants. Many of these animals cannot be found anywhere else on Earth.

Some of the rainforest’s rare animals include the caiman crocodile, the morpho butterfly, the emerald boa and the three-toed sloth.

  1. In Brazil it is very hot and the people are poor there house are broken and there are not finished there children don’t go to school like us . The most popular sport is futball I no why are country is not hot every day because we are not next to the inqater Brazil is not next to it too but Brazil is not rich . Brazil is cold and there house are too old and the children help there mummy’s and Dady,s and the baby’s have too sleep there food is oranges and pinaaples and bananas are country is very rich and we have good house and food . The people cheer for the show and the car the show is good they do. Dancing and they are good people they like there show . Do you like the show and the food in the country is very big and Australia is a bigger country and a big house . It is very good and try sleep in good house and good food and they are lots of people like 300 we have 890. I like it there.
