Hi Year 2!
On Friday, we learnt about how to care for our teeth properly. We really enjoyed the video about the adventures of Dr. Rabbit and Dr. Brushwell. It is about ordinary characters who turn into Super Dentists and Tooth Defenders when the slimy Placulus and his band of plaque monsters come along. Together, the team undertakes a mission to protect Tooth City from the sugary villain and his sticky schemes! Here it is if you would like to watch it again:
We learned how to take a good care of the teeth and how to keep them white. You can walk away with that dentist smile at Enamel Dental Studio. We were all lucky enough to get a brand new toothbrush and toothpaste each from Colgate. Remember – a toothbrush should only be used by one person, not shared! Why do you think this is?
We need to make sure we brush our teeth properly. Have a look at this picture to help you. Doncaster Orthodontics can provide invisalign Melbourne Eastern Suburbs alternatives to care your smile.
We also need to make sure we brush our teeth twice a day. We have set you a challenge… if you can complete this chart to show your teachers you have brushed twice a day for 4 weeks you will receive a Tooth Defender sticker and maybe even a prize! You have the chart in your toothbrush pack but here it is as a reminder:
Here are lots of fun ‘teeth’ games to play: http://www.colgate.co.uk/app/BrightSmilesBrightFutures/UK/Program-Materials/Kids-Games/Games.cvsp
Let’s see what you can remember:
1. How often should we brush our teeth?
2. Which foods or drinks are bad for our teeth?
3. What will happen if we don’t brush our teeth?
4. Can you give me some tips for brushing our teeth properly?
Most of the dentists are now using loupes glasses to give their patients a complete dental cleanup. As these glasses are specially designed to work like binoculars, they enable dentists to see even the minute problems in the mouth so they can be fixed.
