Children return to school Mon 8th April

This week in Year 2, we began our History topic of Famous People. We learnt about The Great Fire of London in 1666. To help us gain a better understanding, we had our very own โ€˜great fire.โ€™
**PLEASE NOTE- Nobody was harmed in the making of this fire.**

Whilst we watched Mr Carter light the fire, we listened to Mrs Penavega share the story with us. We were captivated by the fire and it really helped us to understand just how quickly the fire spread throughout the wooden houses in London.

Next week we will be learning even moreโ€ฆparticularly about a famous person called Samuel Pepys.
