    An example of a desert plant is a cactus. The cactus is very spiky and dangerous. You would not want to touch it. Cacti stores rainwater in there spiky stems.

    Cactus do not have leaves they have spines that protect them from the desserts boiling extreme heat.

    In the dessert there is no water sonthe creosote Bush uses its roots to find every last drop of dew or rain water.

    There are plants in the dessert that just lie there waiting paitently for rain fall, they will then suddenly grow and flower in a burst, and sadly die dYs later.

    Some amazing plants can miraculously continue to grow even when scorching fire have completely destroyed there habitats .The fascinating red pat grass had a seed tHt can burrow deep deep down below the hot burnt earth.
