Well done to the children who have produced these fantastic pieces of work during the half term.
Greatest Mathematicians
This half term the children have been learning to focusing on their multiplication and division sums. The Children had to learn to multiply and divide a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number. They have also been looking at money and identifying its value by using their knowledge of previous learning to be able to adding and subtract. Through that learning they can now solve money problems by giving correct change in pounds and pence. The children have also been working really hard on interpreting from bar charts and pictograms to answer mathematical problems.
English Superstars
This half term Year 3 have been looking at Myths and Legend. The children have compared similarities and differences between Greek and Roman myths. They then went on to to create there own mythical beast, letting their imaginations run wild. They used their inference skills to sequence a myth and to plan their very own myth, focusing on using multi clause sentences, a range of sentences openers and punctuating direct speech.
The children have also been looking at a range of poems and looking at how they are presented when writing them. They looked at alliteration, lines and onomatopoeia. A Haiku poem is from Japan. They are short poems that don’t need to be rhyming. The children had a fun time writing there own Haiku poems.
Topic & Science Stars
In Topic this half term the children have been learning about the Romans and how they ruled Britain. They had to write a diary entry, to understand the life of a Roman soldier and just how hard it was for them back in the days. They have also compared Roman times to modern times and looked at the similarities and differences. The children have really enjoyed using their ICT skills to research facts about Julius Caesar, they then went on to make a poster with all their key information. On the final lesson the children then consolidated all their knowledge of the Romans and took a quiz.
In Science this half term the children have been learning about their bodies. The children had to make a poster explaining how plants make their own food and how animals (including humans) get their food. They have also been exploring the human skeleton and understanding where the the bones are located on the skeleton. They have also enjoyed identifying whether an animal is a vertebrates or invertebrates
TTRS ‘Super Rocker’s
This half term we have been so impressed with all the children in 3 Blue. The children have been working incredibly hard with their times tables, to improve their speed and accuracy. However there has been 5 children in 3 Blue that has shown resilience and determination to succeed in their times tables during this half term. My self and Mrs Khaliq are so proud of them for never giving up. 👏🏽🎉

Online Learning Champions
It have been a very tough decision to chooses just one on line champion because you have all been amazing In one way or another. So that’s why myself and Mrs Khaliq have decided to make our whole class, on line champions. We know that home schooling has been hard for you all but you have all been so brilliant and shown a super attitude to learning but not only that you have all shown determination in your learning and NEVER gave up. Well done 3 Blue, you really are roaring to success. 🚀⭐️👏🏽
So as you all know that each week we choose a blogger of the week, who continue to show their very best in all areas of their work. These children have worked incredibly hard with their home learning this half term. We know that it’s not easy but theses children have always given their best in their work.
