Year 3 British Values Week: Tolerance in our communities!

Tolerance

We have been discussing the ย value tolerance this week as part of British Values week. We have thought about what the terms tolerance and intolerance mean, and discussed different scenarios where this is shown. We have also shared how we can live in a tolerant community, and now understand the importance of showing this to one another.

Have a look at the advert below, and think about how this shows tolerance between religions.

  1. What does being tolerant mean? Tell me in your own words!
  2. What do you like about this advert? How is it effective?
  3. ย How can you show tolerance in the classroom?
  4. How can we create a tolerant community?
