English – In English this week we created book reviews using our summarising skills. Please post a book review of the Queen’s Orangutan by David Walliams. We have looked at this book as part of guided reading.

Example of what it shoul look like (note you do not need to read it):

book review of the queens orangutan.

I think the story is really nice because it is very funny and enjoyable.

I think this because of one part where the oragutan poured tea all over the prime minister. Also because I was surprised when the orangutan spoke.

I really had fun reading the book with my class.

Book: The Queen’s Orangutan

I liked the book because the Queen asked for an unusual pet. An orangutan. I liked how she got the idea of wanting a butler as a orangutan. I recommend this book for 6-7 age or onwards because swinging from pole to pole outside the kings castle would be very dangerous!

The queens orangutan 4.5 stars

The Queen is trapped inside her palace and it is her birthday. This time she knew what she wanted,an orangutan!? Yes she wanted it and she of course got it. When she got it did silly things like pouring tea on the prime minister. She even made him king. I thing it is a funny book and is one of my favourites.

So it is 4.5 star.

Book review for the Queen’s Orangutan by David Walliams.

Rating: 5 stars.

Plot: The Queen was trapped inside her palace because she had to stay inside the whole time. On her birthday she asked for an Orangutan and the Orangutan came and swung on the chandelier.

The Queen was very exited because the Orangutan came to be her butler.

The Queen had a meeting with the prime minister and the Orangutan spilt some tea on his head.

Then the Queen escaped and wrote a note that the Orangutan will be king.

I recommend this book to children aged from 8 to 9.

I would rate this 5 stars.

it is when the Queen wanted an Orangutan for her birthday. Then next day she recieved her Orangutan to be her butler. The Orangutan made everything go wrong, first he spilled tea on the prime minister, then he he drew a bad portrait of the Queen(which the Queen liked.)

I would recommend this to 7/8 because it is a exiting and a halairious book.

I was not able to save my maths times table check.

The Queen was stuck in a pile of lots of suf.

It was the Queens birthday and she said she wanted a Orang-Utan so the

Orang-Utan swing across the light and the Queen also laugh.

The Queen did not want to have a mile with the president because he was Boring and she wanted to have a mile with the Orang-Utan.

When the Orang-Utan was doing his dancing he did not follow the step by Step dance.

1. She felt trapped in her room.

2. She wants a gift on her birthday she said

orang utan.

3. When it was her birthday she got a orang

utan.

4. She was so happy because it fel on the birthday cake.

5. She escape.

Book review

Book :The queen’s orangutan

Author:David Walliams

Illustrator:Tony Ross

This book is about a queen who is terribly tired and stressed .So,for her birthday she asks for an orangutan, but not any ordainary orangutan but a butler , and a very energetic one aswell.

The butter orangutan destroys everything even swinging on the light shades and tips tea on the president.

The Queen was over whelmed and surprises everyone with what she does next .

This book shows that sometimes people can get over worked by working in some jobs , and everyone need s help and a break sometimes .

The pictures were nice but I think more pictures would of been nice .

I think this book would be aimed for 7-9 year olds because it’s fun to read and David walliams always makes his books enjoyable for children.

Book review

The Queens orangutan

This book is interesting because the Queen wants a orangutan for her birthday and a orangutan is a type of ape. She wants the orangutan because she wants to use it as a butler so they gave her a orangutan then the orangutan destroyed everything then the orangutan poured tea on the prime minister.

Recommendation

I recommend this book for people that are 6+ because there’s simple words so they can read it and if people like comedy.

My opinion

This book is so funny and silly.
