They used canopic jars to store organs pharaohs and wealthy members of the society. During the mummification process the important organs were removed and placed in the jars because they believed in life after death so these organs in the jars will be used for the afterlife.

    Gold
They threw the brain away because they believed the only important part of the body was the heart because they believed in life after death so they thought the heart would be weighed to see if the person is good or bad. If the person is good it goes to the land of two fields but if it is bad, it does not go. to prove this the carvings in hieroglyphics on the canopic jars are pictures of different weighing scales and peoples heart getting weighed. The Egyptians believed that the brain is useless for the afterlife however we believe that all the body organs should be kept in the dead body unless someone wanted to donate some organs to the hospital. The brain should be kept in the body because it represents the person’s personality and should not be donated to a different person however it might be used for scientific studies.
