Hi Year 3,
Today we are going to look at aerial and ground level images. We looked at this when we did our Topic work on Italy.

What is a ground level image?

The photos above are both of the same landmark in London- The London Eye.
Bronze: Look at the images above. What is similar and different about what you can see in both photos?

The similarities are that they have roads and some building.
The difference are that one of them is a football area and the other one is a busy area.

The differences is that the first one has cars when the other one does not

What is an aerial image?
An aerial image is when you take a picture from the sky or upper level either from a aircraft, flight or any flying object.
What is a ground level image?
A ground level image is when you are taking a picture from a ground level.

Both of the pictures is showing the famous London Eye which is similar the difference is that the aerial image you can see the London Bridge with boats and shopping centres. The ground level picture is showing the London Eye and the Parliament House.
Silver: Look at the aireal photos of Coventry.
What famous landmarks can you see ?
I can see a football ground called the rich arena with lots cars parked and a football game taking place with so much crowd.
The first one is a aeriel image and the second one is ground level

The similarities are in both pictures you can see the London eye. The differences are the aerial view you can see buildings houses roads and on the ground view you cannot.
An aerial image is an image taken in the sky.
A groud level image is an image taken on the groud.

They both have the London eye in them and it is taken in the same country.
One is an aerial image. But the other is a ground level image.

What is an aerial image?
An aerial image is an picture where helicopters, planes and birds can see. We call it the Bird’s Eye View. The first image is a Bird’s Eye View.
What is a ground level image?
A ground level image is a picture where humans or other animals, who cannot fly, see. The second one is a ground level image.

Aerial image means taking photographs from an aircraft or other flying object.
Ground level images at the same level as the ground.

In the second picture we can see London Eye from the ground level.

The second picture I can see a cathedral and I can see trees
