Year 4 – A look into plant life in other parts of world – Botanical Gardens

4 White had an amazing trip to the Botanical Gardens today. We learnt about the different climates and plants that are used to produce products, that we use in everyday life.

  1. Botanical gardens

    1)The new knowledge that I’ve found put on our trip was that the plants could only retrieve water 3.5 billion years ago, when water was created. I also know that throughout the gardens the temperature was descending the order was humid , hot then it was warm.

    2) The main difference between the three houses were that they each had a different climate, in order for the flowers or plants to grow correct, in the temperature they were originated from such as the makaya bella originated from southern Africa. The names were tropical, subtropical.

    3) grass, trees and flowers like daisys, daffodils and much more. Plants are important as they create oxygen.

    4) humid meas when the water vapour fills the area.

  2. It was so fun i wish we can go there again and we learnt about lots of plants πŸŒ΅πŸŒ±πŸŽ‹πŸƒπŸŒΏπŸŒΈπŸŒΊπŸŽπŸŒΉπŸ‚πŸŒ΅

  3. The arid house had Cactus everywhere if we where in a real dessert there would just be rocks sand and a few cactus🌡🌱🌴.

  5. 1) The main difference with the glasshouses are that you can feel that the tropical house is hot compare to the sub tropical is cooler.

    2) Cocoa, Red Grape Chandelier Tree, Cactus and MANY OTHERS!

    3) Gerbera

    4) A great deal of water vapour
