Today the second half of 4 Blue visited Bosworth Battlefield. It has been a lovely day and we were lucky to have some sunshine!
First, we went on a tour of the battlefield, we learnt lots more facts about the War of the Roses, and also exhibited our own knowledge! The children then met a ‘Bosworth soldier’, learnt about the types of weapons that may have been used and took part in a battle drill. They looked around the exhibition and learnt more about life during these times, weapons and armor used. We learnt more about the Battle of Bosworth and how the Tudor period began.
The children were absolutely fantastic, a credit to themselves and the school. The children behaved brilliantly, were polite and courteous, and the Bosworth staff commented on how brilliant they were.
Challenge:
Tell me something you learnt today that surprised you.
Why do we hear more about King Richard III than King Henry VII?
Which part of the day did you enjoy the most?
