Year 4 fall short

Year 4 took on the schools first ever mixed football match yesterday against Stanton Bridge.

lining up for Broad Heath were Pasoon as Goalkeeper, Kayden R and Nadia as defenders, Usman, Kaiden D & Kieran as midefielders leaving Abdel as a loan striker with Safa and Arshdeep as substitutes.

The whistle went with Broad Heath starting the livliest team, they worked hard to win the ball and battled well. We had some early shots at goal but some good early saves from the SB goal keeper denied us of the opening goal.

SB really came into the game after the forst 10 minutes they tackled well, and played some nice football opeining up the BH players. the BH players soon lost their team shape letting SB score some nice goals.

The second half kicked off with Kaiden D & Nadia coming off to be replaced with Safa and Arshdeep, they were heavily involved withint the game but could not stop the SB players who were playing with lots of confidence.

The BH support was amazing to see with all children encouraging the team throughout the entire match filling the players with confidence.

The final whistle went with the team losing 5-0 however this didnt affect the teams morale who came off the pitch with smiles on their faces and not giving up until the final whistle.

Welll done to all the players from yesterdays game we look forward to the next one!

Player of the match today for his never say die attitude goes to Abdel, well done!
