# Year 4 Science Home Learning – 13.01.21

Today in science you are going to be electrical engineers, you are going to find and tell me how to solve issues with my circuits as I have got a little confused when making them. I have created a video below to explain the learning.

Bronze:

Only A will work because B isn’t connected at both ends and C isn’t connected properly.

Silver:

Only B will work. A is missing a wire and C hasn’t got a cell only 2 bulbs.

Gold:

The first circuit is missing a cell and the buzzer needs to be connected on both sides.

The next ones needs to wires on both sides of the battery and the switch to make the light work.

The yellow wire needs to be connected to the black wire on the buzzer for the last one.

1.circuit a will work because it is connected properly.
2.circuit B will not work because both wires are connected to the positive side of the battery.
3.circuit C will not work because the wire is not connected to the light bulb.
silver:
circuit A will not work because the wires are not connected.
circuit B will work because it is connected properly.
circuit C will not work because it doesn’t any batteries.
gold:
the first circuit doesn’t have batteries.
the second circuit will not work because both wires are connected on the same side of the battery.
in the third circuit the yellow wire needs to be connected to the black wire of the buzzer.

A and C wont work because for a the wires are not connected. C wont work because it doesn’t have a battery. So B will work.

1. The bulb won’t light with both wires connected the positive side of the battery because the electrons won’t flow properly.
Bronze:
1. Circuit A will work because circuit B’s wires are both connected to the positive side of a battery so the electrons won’t flow properly and one of circuit C’s wires doesn’t connect to the light bulb.
Silver:
1. Circuit B will work because one of circuit A’s wires doesn’t connect to the light bulb and circuit C doesn’t have any batteries.
Gold:
A. The first circuit won’t work because there needs to be a battery.
B. The second circuit won’t work because both wires are on the same side of the battery so the electrons won’t flow properly.
C. The third circuit won’t work because the yellow wire needs to be connected to the black wire of the buzzer.

B is correct because both wires are connected to the battery and C and A are not correct.A has 1 wire connected and the other not. C has no battery so it cannot light up

A It does not work because it does not have a battery

A: Because there is not a battery to power the circuit
B: Because the wires are on the + positive side of the battery and not the – negative side of the battery.
C: Because it has no light bulb to light up.

C:The mistake you made is you had to connect the yellow wire to the black wire to make the buzzer work.

Well identified problems Aayan! Have a closer look at circuit C on gold- there is no bulb but that is not why the circuit doesn’t work. Look at how Miss Zaib has connected the motor…
