Year 4- To understand what cooperative and competitive mean.

You watched a video about two boys who were arm wrestling and another video of a group of KS 1 children building a snowman.

Using the notes that you made;

Describe the boys’ behaviour as they arm wrestled. Describe the KS1 children’s behaviour as they built the snowman.

  1. How would you describe the way the KS1 children were working together?
  2. Who were being competitive and who were being cooperative?
  3. How do you feel about being competitive and cooperative?

Describe a time in school when it is OK to be competitive and when it is good to be cooperative.
