A group of children in Year 5 had a fabulous Thursday afternoon combining their maths knowledge and skills and excellent teamwork to take part in a maths challenge with seven other schools in the Aspire network. Their challenge was to answer questions to climb increasingly difficult ladders to gain access to some tricky tasks and get into a castle. The final challenge was to escape from the castle. They worked really well, managed to get into the castle and almost escaped! Fabulous!

What did you enjoy about the afternoon? What new skills or knowledge did you learn?

I enjoyed making the animals or stuff out of shapes. It was kind of challenging but still fun.
